Samantha Rumbidzai Vazhure
Samantha’s journey into painting began in 2022, sparked by an unexpected challenge while creating a marketing video for her poetry collection, Starfish Blossoms. She struggled to find an artist who could visualize and capture the abstract beauty of the starfish flowers described in her poems, so she took matters into her own hands. With no prior painting experience, Samantha embraced the challenge and brought her vision to life on canvas.
Guided by her neighbour, an experienced art teacher, Samantha learned foundational techniques and gradually developed her style with persistent practice. What started as a creative necessity blossomed into a passion, leading her to explore themes rooted in her poetry, including womanhood, nature, and spirituality. Samantha later attended Fine art workshops where she further expanded her repertoire, enabling her to create landscapes and realistic portraiture.
Living in the Welsh countryside, Samantha draws endless inspiration from the beauty of her surroundings. Samantha's work embodies the vivid textures and colors of impressionism and expressionism, each piece infused with the beauty she finds in nature and everyday life. As both an artist and an art collector, Samantha celebrates the power of art to evoke emotion and invites viewers to connect deeply with the tactile beauty of her paintings.
